For Writers: How to Pitch and Sell Memoir at American Grammar!

One of my favorite parts of the bookstore crawl each year (well, except for last year, because my family had a new baby!), is hosting special industry events for writers.

This time around, we’re planning two, and the first one is a memoir chat at American Grammar!

Join me and literary agents Ashley Lopez (Massie McQuilkin & Altman) and Anna Sproul-Latimer (Neon Literary), alongside acclaimed memoirists Jiordan Castle (Disappearing Act) and Farah Naz Rishi (Sorry for the Inconvenience) for a conversation about pitching and selling memoir.

It’ll be a short discussion followed by an AMA. Ashley, Anna, and myself all actively sell memoir. Ask us how! Jiordan and Farah wrote two beautiful books! Ask them how they pitched them.

And of course, be sure to pick up books from our friends at the bookshop, and order lots of coffee.

It’s 6PM to 8PM, on Friday before the crawl. That’s right! The crawl is pushing a little into Friday with this one.
